Adapting Cities
Collaborative climate adaptation of school districts
Horizon2020 project
I+D
KCL, AT, RIKS, IRSA, GeoEcoMar
Finishes in June 2024
The project aims to develop cutting-edge technologies to ensure the environmental, social and economic sustainability of territorial investments and policies at different scales. These technological tools combine artificial intelligence, high-resolution remote sensing products, low-cost environmental sensors and impact assessment models.
ICATALIST studies the deployment of Regenerative Agriculture as a NBS for adaptation to floods and droughts in the Douro basin. In addition, it works together with the actors of the territory to identify the advantages and problems associated with its implementation. On the other hand, ReSET evaluates the air quality of Rivas-Vaciamadrid, one of the cities most affected by this problem. In the same way, it tries to find solutions to this phenomenon by involving citizens and the educational community. Finally, ICATALIST leads the study of the policies involved and the process of market introduction of the technological solutions developed by the project partners.
